This is just a test of a super-ginchy table sorting tool that ought to be lightning fast. It might be a bit boring to be able to sort the columns of this particular table by clicking on a column title, but hey - what if the columns contained something interesting??? (Wait until tonight's OzRant for that.)

Update ... Oh yeah, it's fast alright, baby!!.
Now I know that the bottom border screws up when you sort - that's a CSS styling cockup on my behalf and I will fix it before tonight. I also realise that if you look in the source I've cheated by making the top table row a separate table - it should really just be a heading anyhow, with the heading styled approproately in the CSS - same with the underlines on the table headers - I hate them and they will change.
But overall am I happy about the effect? You bet your ass. (If you don't have an ass - i.e., if you are bereft of donkeys - bet something else).
