Everybody had written off the claim - made here - that Patrick Corporation (PRK) had already decided to launch a bid for a full takeover of Virgin Blue (VBA) (later refined to incorporate PRK's desire to wait for VBA shares to soften to, or under, $1.90.
We said that the finance was in place, and all that was required was for PRK to pull the trigger. They just pulled it, and the offer price... $1.90...
